Blazing at 45! By: Nisreen Teo Claret intends to be synonymous with grandeur as Claret School of Zamboanga City blazes to its 45th year of magnificence. On an interview with Mr. Christian Jomar Saipudin, a member of the “The 45th Founding Anniversary Committee” geared on creating the events for the celebration, he attested to the jaw-dropping festivities awaiting the Claretians this school year 2011-2012. According to him, big events ranging from symbolic programs to fierce competitions are already in store for Claret; events that would highlight the success of the institution and the people behind it. “If Saint Anthony Mary Claret were alive today, he will be in utter amazement in the grandeur of the celebration we have in store for him and for the people who followed his footsteps,” Mr Saipudin added. The celebration, dubbed as “Blazing at 45!”, aims to commemorate the people who in one way or another have help in the success of Claret. It’s honoring those who are true Roosters; those who have serve the greater purpose throughout the 45 years of the institution. Festivities planned for the year-long celebration officially opened on the first day of the school year. Throughout the year, especially on October, Claret’s founding month, the institution aims the grandest events. This is proven with Claret’s first event: a remarkable exhibit of Claret’s memorabilia all through its 45 years. Photo books, yearbooks, uniforms and a lot more were showcased as symbols of the steps Claret took to what it is now. Surely, magnificent merriment has yet to begin as Claret blazes to 45. |
